All Inclusive Holidays to Turkey – You Need to Know This
If you are about to book one of the many Turkey holiday packages on offer, please understand that Turkey is not like anywhere else – you may need to reconsider going all-inclusive.

In recent years, all-inclusive deals have become really popular, and all inclusive holidays to Turkey are certainly no exception to this, but the decision to go all-inclusive or not is a little harder in a place like Turkey, as I will explain.
Normally, the choice of whether to take an all-inclusive holiday or to go half-board/self-catering comes down to two things:
- What you want.
- What you can afford.
Now, usually in life you find that you need to choose somewhere between these two things – for example, as a teenager I wanted a sporty little Mercedes, but alas when it came to it I could only afford a Vauxhall Viva. With go-faster stripes from Halfords. Oh well..
No Compromises on All Inclusive Holidays to Turkey!
The good news is that when it comes to all-inclusive holidays, what you want and what you can afford is, for many people the same thing! What JOY! This is especially true of the subject of this article – all inclusive holidays to Turkey. Why? Please read on..
- There are some people who NEVER go on an all-inclusive holiday.
- There are some people who ALWAYS go on an all-inclusive holiday.
- And there are some people who NEVER go on an all-inclusive holiday EXCEPT when they go to Turkey? WHY?
I think the reason is this – many people are discovering Turkey for the first time now, because other more traditional resorts for UK travellers, such as Spain and Greece, have in recent years become increasingly expensive due to the exchange rate, amongst other things. Turkey, on the other hand, is still comparatively cheap, partly because it is outside the Euro, and cash-strapped UK residents who still want their holiday in the sun are getting it for less cash in Turkey.
The problem is, Turkey is a whole new destination for these people, raised on a summer holiday diet of paella washed down with the ubiquitous jug of sangria, or kalamari rings washed down hastily with a swig of retsina – to be faced with a whole new country and a whole new culture is a bit daunting.
In this scenario, you can start to see why all inclusive holidays to Turkey would appeal – they are an easy option – you are cosseted and nurtured in every way, and if you want to sample the local culture or cuisine, you can do – but you can always scurry back to your all-inclusive paradise if it all gets too, well, foreign!
Another reason that all inclusive holidays to Turkey in particular are so popular is the genuine true value for money that you get when compared to similar holidays in other places. Honestly, I don’t know how long it will last, but at the moment what you can get for your money on Turkey holiday packages is truly amazing and just what you need if you are a bit short of cash back home.

Insider Tips
Check carefully what your all-inclusive package includes. Most Turkey holiday packages on offer are great – reputable and high quality. But do check. Here are some of the things to look out for:
Food – check what hours the eating places are open throughout the day and evenings. Check whether

things like ice-creams by the pool are included.
Drinks – check what you have to pay extra for. Most packages, even all inclusive holiday packages to Turkey, charge extra for certain types of drink such as expensive branded spirits.
Activities – most hotels will have a varied and extensive programme of activities during the daytime and evenings. Sports, water-based activities in and around the pool, aerobics. Most will also have great kids’ clubs that can be a real highlight of your children’s holidays. But some hotels also offer excursions outside the hotel, to places of interest – included in the price of your holiday. These can be a real bonus, especially if you are new to Turkey and want a gentle, chaperoned, introduction to the place.
Right – what else do you want to know? I think that covers it, but please get in touch using the contact page if you have any questions.

Absolutely Bang On. Recently went and was able to eat cheaply and well. Got the shock of our lives when it came to ordering branded spirits. Wish I had got a bottle of duty free & put it in my room. Would have saved even more.
